Review on πŸ”Š TRQ413 Torque Speakers by Planet Audio by Rance Riley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works in my 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT with factory radio.

Fits my 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT, standard cab with basic factory radio. They fit on the rear side panels. You need to drill holes to install the speakers as the factory speakers just snap on, which is a great design to reduce installation time and manufacturing cost. to drill holes slightly larger than the supplied screws and use the supplied tabs (which can be a hassle, imo) to mount the speakers, or use self tapping screws which I chose to use. Sound - they are powered by an upgraded factory radio which is a JVC KD-X330BTS and they sound great in my opinion. If you intend to use them in a system with a 10" or larger subwoofer, you will need to increase the power delivered with an amplifier appropriate for the RMS power these speakers can handle. In case the price didn't give it away, these aren't high-end speakers.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Ok most of the time, but...
