I bought this to fix some vintage car fans and my truck dashboard. I didn't bother to get started until the return window closed. When I first started using the hot stapler, I noticed that only one of the two probes had a hole to insert the staple. I was able to fix the dashboard, but I'll either have to drill a new hole or disassemble the unit to see if the sensor was installed upside down (and if so, I'll have to drill and cut a hole for the plug screw). I can just connect a new brass tube soldered to the existing sensor. It was a good price and the staples got hot, but quality control fails in this case.
