Review on Honest Paws Natural Enzymatic Toothpaste by Lorena Salazar

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Compared to other dog toothpastes, this one is definitely more beneficial.

Not much to say, toothpaste is just toothpaste. However, this one is a little different from the competition as it comes at a really amazing price. You don't just get one handset, you get two! If you want a kit with toothbrushes, be sure to choose a dental kit. The dental care set contains 2 plastic brushes and 2 green finger brushes. The brushes look beautiful and the tip is studded with turquoise colored bristles. Finger brushes are just standard finger brushes. Pretty flexible and pretty easy to use. Anyway, my dog's teeth are still pearly white and they were before this toothpaste. I used to use Virbac CET Vanilla Mint which is very similar to this toothpaste only with a slight ginger undertone. It's definitely not overly powerful, but quite enjoyable. However, ginger has been shown to be very beneficial for both humans and dogs. It is high in antioxidants with benefits ranging from relieving nausea, gas and arthritis (to name a few). Unfortunately I couldn't tell if the ginger was fake or real, but if it's a real product then this toothpaste will not only keep your pup's teeth healthy but your pup too! I will update the information if I ever find any information! If you have used Virbac CET before you can read this ingredient panel I researched for comparison. Virbac CET: Purified Water, Sorbitol, Amorphous Silica, Glycerin, Titanium Dioxide. B. Anhydrous dicalcium phosphate, silicic acid hydrate, poultry digest, dextrose, xanthan gum, sodium benzoate, salicylate, lactoperoxidase, potassium thiocymate and glucose oxidase. Virbac contains 2 dubious ingredients: sorbitol and sodium benzoate. Since purified water is listed first, you're essentially paying for diluted toothpaste. In my experience, Virbac toothpaste was very "loose". By this I mean that when you turn your toothbrush upside down, the toothpaste will quickly follow gravity. Honest Paws: Sorbitol, Purified Water, Hydrated Silica, Polysorbate 20, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Chloride, Flavoring (Not Specified), Sodium Bicarbonate, Perlite. , Zinc Gluconate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Proteases, Thymol, Glucose Oxidase and Blue 1. Honest Paws also contains 2 dubious ingredients: Sorbitol and Polysorbate 20. Polysorbate 20 is commonly contaminated with 1,4-dioxane and causes cancer, but when it was it is thoroughly cleaned it sure. Since polysorbate 20 is listed in the ingredients list, this should be taken into account when purchasing. However, since Honest Paws has good reviews, this might not be a big issue. In terms of toothpaste consistency, Honest Paw looks and feels like regular human toothpaste. The packaging is great, too: it's a sleek, thin plastic tube that doesn't have to wrestle with the packaging to get that last sip of pasta. As for the packaging, it's great. Overall, this toothpaste is very good and has a positive effect on its ingredients. Despite some concerns, which may or may not be justified based on good company reviews online, this is a great option for dog owners who want their dog's teeth to be pearly white and their breath fresh.
