Another vehicle ran a red light and hit my truck resulting in a very serious collision. My truck and I were spared and ended up with a bent fender and a cracked alloy wheel. I ordered a used wheel from a junkyard and took it to a tire shop to have my tire and TPMS transponder replaced. Well the technician was in a hurry and instead of carefully removing the TPMS by hand as is well known, he decided to hit it with his mini punch which shattered the stem. They of course offered me a new sensor, programming etc for more than I paid for the bike. I told him to fit a regular rubber stock in the meantime and I'll take care of the TPMS issue myself. Glad I did, I ordered this one, blew and snapped the bead on my old tire to remove the rubber rod and install this, and pumped it back up. I followed the calibration procedure in the truck's owner's manual and it recognized this new sensor with no problems. Highly recommended, but do your homework carefully before you buy anything as there are different types of TPMS on the market.
