We have had it for about 6 months now and use it every day - the batteries are not dead yet. The capacity of the pepper container is a bit small as others have commented, but you don't need to refill it every day. It feels pretty durable and of good quality. The black plastic is more of a matte black - and easily shows grease and fingerprints - that's the only thing I don't like about it. It would probably be better with white or a lighter color. Otherwise it works fine. Not sure if it's worth the price, but at least it's not made in China (it's made in France).
