I bought two of these for my Greek tortoise thinking I could clean one with the other. I wanted to replace the sand-coir mix I've been using for years because it kicks up too much dust. I will no longer use them. They are very difficult to clean and when my turtle poops, she lugs that poop around and makes a huge mess. Cannot be washed in a washing machine. It softens, and then the turtle collects it in a heap as it moves. I had to hose it down in the backyard but couldn't get it clean. Basically it was useless to me. I ended up using the wood pellets you use for heating and they worked great.
