When everything switched to Blue Ray I didn't jump on board, I ended up taking it as a reward for work, my youngest son took it and used it. To be honest, since Revain Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, etc., we never watch cable TV or use the DVD library we've built up over the years. Recently, the BrightHouse networks in Bakersfield were sold to Spectrum and the internet is dying a normal death, albeit almost daily, sometimes for up to several hours. When I tried my old DVD player it was dead so I needed a new one. Before this purchase I didn't know DVDs could be played in a Blu-Ray player, but after researching I found that they work. I was looking for a multi-region player as I have several DVDs from other countries that I would like to watch on computer or Xbox etc. This affordable player ticks all of my boxes and wants for a media player, including a USB port for downloading media from a flash drive, etc.
