I have had the playpen that comes with it for a long time and it has become my solution after going through many gates which I ended up hating. I use wall mounts and have a few around the house so I can quickly cover specific areas in different configurations. In the end I decided to jump to the gate so it would be a little easier to get through than stepping over it or bending down to undo the latch on the wall. I'm glad I have it, it's easier when I walk through the gate with my daughter to open the gate instead of picking her up. But when I'm alone, I still just climb over and don't play with him. At first I thought it doesn't work at all, but you have to hold down the little button while lifting and raise it all the way before trying to open the gate. This is a bit cumbersome and takes some getting used to. Got the hang of it, although not bad. This definitely only works if it's the panel closest to the wall. Also, I love these panels, but my dogs tear them up easily. I want to get something similar from a more durable material. At the moment I have to be very careful not to leave the dogs in a situation where they want to jump over the gate because I know they will hurt it.
