Suburu Ascent 2020, captain seat and 40/60 split review:The covers are very nicely made, very high quality, really nice thick and durable material. I am impressed.The captain seat covers fit very well. There is a very small section of the seat that isn’t totally covered on the sides where the seat meets the chair back. I am using these covers for kids in booster seats covered in snow from skiing, so I am not concerned about that, but pet wonders will need to judge if that one small exposure is a big deal or not.I also bought the regular sized 40/60 split cover for the third row. It covers the seat entirely, but is slightly wider than necessary for the Suburu Ascent, which results in a bit of bunching in the middle and poor positioning of the Velcro openings for seat buckles. I am still going to keep it and use it, because I would be surprised if there is anything better with this kind of quality and versatility, but I will probably have to help kiddos get buckled in when that row is used, at least the younger ones. That sort of happens already, because third row seat buckles are always annoying and slip down into the seat, but this cover will make it more annoying (the buckles will probably slip under the cover and hide).Overall, though, I am very happy with it and glad to have found something that can protect our seats from wet/sandy kids (skiing, beach trips, etc).*I have kick mat protectors on the backs of the seats, not part of the seat covers being reviewed, made by another company.
