I have used these discs in my job (piping/welding) for several years. I've used them at home with some of my metal projects that I do from time to time. They are excellent for polishing and removing unwanted metal and weld spatter from metal surfaces. They are fairly durable if not abused beyond normal use. I wish they were a little cheaper but you get what you pay for. I would still recommend them to anyone working on metal projects, although they can be used for other purposes as well. Just use your own imagination.
