I replaced the dual port USB-A connector for the charger with this USB-C and USB-A connector. I wanted USB-c for the MagSafe charger for my iPhone 12-max and USB-A for the dash cam. My wife's iPhone 12-max was being charged by another USB charger. Everything worked great for our 2400 mile trip. I had my 12-max on MagSafe last weekend and when we cleaned the car and removed the 2ns charger she plugged her phone into this port on USB-A. Later that day we noticed our phones weren't charging. Then I noticed that our phones were either charging or not. When I understood the charging configuration, I felt the socket and it was very hot. We turned off my wife's phone, everything was fine. So I agree with others, this is not a 48 watt charger, but it works!
