Several problems with the HARFO L1

This product has several problems. Mine did not include an operations manual. I was unable to find one online. I was able to figure out enough to get to running. When it works, itโ€™s ok. Usually takes one to four touches to unlock, but thatโ€™s not too bad.The unit would power when plugged into USB, but it did not charge. It takes 4 triple A batteries, which works fine. But the ad claims it is rechargeable, so which is it? - CORRECTION - SEE BELOWThere is a pinhole through which one puts a paper clip through to press a button to program it. But the pinhole is on the wrong end so it can not be used. See photo. One must remove a screw and open the handle to press the programming button. The handle sags. I found no way to make it level. Doesnโ€™t effect functionality, it just looks bad.If you can live with these shortcomings, you may like the product. It is solidly built.UPDATE 2-28-21The company support was quite responsive. They did send me a PDF manual and offered other assistance. In addition they provided a partial discount in apology for shortcomings and inconvenience. They have asked me to update this review, so here goes.I was mistaken in my review above thinking that the unit was rechargeable. While the advert and the manual to refer several times to the USB port being a "charging port" it is only for use when the AAA internal batteries die. It doesn't actually charge anything, It just allows temporary operation of the unit from an external battery pack when the internal batteries die. It doesn't charge the internal batteries. I have noted the correction in that part of my review above. The PDF manual is somewhat useful, but quite poorly written. For setup instructions it refers to YouTube videos that do not exist. The manual fails to explain the various color codes that the unit displays. The unit has "forgotten" my settings and required reprogramming more than once. When it does, it show the lights flash in a variety of colors which the manual does not explain. In summary, if you can live with awkward battery replacement and reprogramming (remove screw, remove faceplate) and the cryptic setup, you may enjoy this product.
