I bought two of these units and both turned out to be junk. The warranty is terrible too, Sony has so little confidence and is so quick to release these devices that they don't guarantee them for more than 90 days. That's right, an optical drive that should provide years of trouble-free service. In addition, Sony's technical support is at rock bottom. It took me two hours to explain that my device was just turning on and that it was defective, and to give my name and mailing address. Since my device failed after 90 days, which wasn't much longer, we're talking about four months.
