I had to replace my previous thermometer which was much worse than this one. I ordered this one because I thought it could handle the water better. Because of this, my old one broke - some water got into the electronics during washing. This instant read BREEKET 2-in-1 meat thermometer has a much more waterproof feel, which is great. I like that it replaces 2 different thermometers. I used to have one to check the food by hand and one to leave the probe on the grill or in the oven. This one does both and I love it. Saves space in your kitchen drawer. Good product.
