I am sorry that this product is not working properly. It's durable, has excellent handles, glass (so it can be put in the microwave), it's easy to clean in the dishwasher. But for steaming and drying peas and corn (the main reason we bought this) it is not suitable. If you try to strain the water, all the veggies will fall out as well. I bought it as a gift for a friend and her family and they couldn't find anything better than their old style.
