This tripod was bought especially for my microphone during video recording. Thanks to the flexible legs, I can place it almost anywhere. It's surprisingly strong/thick for plastic. I like the detachable mounting plate so I can quickly remove it from my devices as well. I'm very impressed with how well the hinges on the tripod legs hold their position. I was able to mount the microphone in several positions that I could never have reached with a normal tripod. I have a ceiling mounted mic stand, but it's extremely bulky compared to the ease of use this little stand offers. It's the perfect size to take with you in your camera bag. While I doubt I'll be using this feature much, it has a Bluetooth remote control that pairs easily with my phone. The expandable phone holder is solid and was able to hold my Galaxy S10+ with ease. Also, with legs that could go almost anywhere, my phone held up well and was stable. I don't worry about it falling off when I use it to take videos or photos. I can actually use it for some of my artistic video shoots, which can be difficult at times with my current camera setup. This tripod is extremely versatile and I will definitely keep it handy.
