An electric non-contact lighting system for truck engine compartments has been developed. Two out of 10 reed switches did not work. One reed switch was open on both poles during the continuity test, the other was stuck in the closed position and did not switch to the other pole with a magnet.
Pros
- The reed switch can be used as a sensor, the use of magnetic field signals to control line switching devices.
