I really like this meter. This is my multimeter for almost all electrical tests, even if I don't need a current clamp. You have to understand that this is not a true RMS meter like the VERY expensive Fluke meters. Do a little google search if you want to know the difference. However, this will do most of the work for people like me (a DIYer who loves to dabble in anything). I've used this meter for everything from measuring the amperage at my main panel and alternator switch, to checking the bus balance, to determining the remaining charge on a few AAA batteries. Even if you don't need a current clamp, you can use the clip as a pendant to hang the meter on something else so you can use both hands to operate the sensors. It works great with AC and DC, volts, amps and ohms. I'm not an electrician but it suits my needs. There are no problems with him at all. I even like the case in which it comes. And the probes connect to the meter at a 90-degree angle, so you can leave them connected to the meter when you keep it in your pocket without worrying about bending and shorting the probes.
