Soft alarm clock, low profile, not too bright display

I bought this alarm clock to replace an old automatic watch that was made when Daylight Saving Time was different than it is today. I got tired of manually resetting the clock twice in Spring and twice in Fall (once when it was actually Daylight Saving Time and then again when the clock thought it was). This watch is great for that. The display brightness is set to a very good level. It's bright enough to be seen at night, but not bright enough to illuminate anything. Because of this, I had to point my old watch away from me, and because of this, I had to crane my neck to see the time. And I can't say enough about the graduated alarm clock. I can usually turn it off before my wife wakes up. A fifth star would come if they made the alarm clock "on/off" switch a bit bigger and more "tactile". This is a round dial that is set into the top of the watch with a very small plastic dot showing where the dial is set. To turn it off in the dark, you need to find it by touching it, determine what position the dot is in, and then twist your index finger to bring it to the "off" position. It's all doable, but a simple three-position switch that's easy to feel would be much better.

Pros
  • Beautiful to look at
Cons
  • Worries me
