Alternator pulley bracket

Please note that this alternator may have defects. I received one for my 2015 Silverado a few days after ordering. The box it arrived in was very thin and slightly damaged with parts sticking out in several places. I disassembled the part to check for damage, none were found. Then I tried turning the pulley to make sure everything was ok. The pulley turned, but it had to be turned by hand. It should rotate freely without binding. I have sent this generator back and re-ordered. Maybe that generator was defective and not the next one.
