One LED failed after 5 months of use. The metal clip has separated from the plastic part it is attached to. On closer inspection, I noticed that this plastic element had been deformed by heat, causing the metal clip to come loose. Called customer service and they were too busy. leave a message and hopefully call you back. This is the first time I'm calling support. I hope they have good customer service. The range is 24 inches from the heating surface. Update 2 days later: Guarantee rings and rings and finally asks you to leave a message with a phone number saying the call will be called back. I called at least 3-4 times but never got through and left 2 messages. Waiting for a call back the next day never happened. Called back after a 24 hour wait. This time I was lucky and was able to speak to a representative. He created an application for a new LED lamp. Thank goodness it was just an LED light. Good luck trying to get someone under guarantee! When a customer spends $200, they don't have to make dozens of calls to get through. not happy at all!
