Cosmo UMC30 Stainless Steel Range Hood - Under Cabinet with 380 CFM, Permanent Filters & LED Lights, 30 inch Review

I bought a new item and my invoice says it was new; I received an open box or a used item. When I opened the packaging, I found that the protective film had already been removed. The front is scratched and there are two spots where the metal on the top is damaged. All are visible. The only remaining layer of protection is on the top of the device where it connects to the case, where it doesn't matter because it's not visible. I am extremely disappointed.

I replaced a cheap 150 CFM fan with this one. First, this vent had the best packaging I've seen in years. Kudos to the guy who designed the packaging. Pros - very quiet, powerful, good looking - I totally recommend this product. One LED failed after 5 months of use. The metal clip has separated from the plastic part it is attached to. On closer inspection, I noticed that this plastic element had been deformed by heat, causing the metal clip to come loose. Observations noted in other reviews: Clock displays in 12 hour format instead of 24 hours. Blue protective plastic for a reason. Just don't be in a hurry to take it off. Unfortunately, the instructions do not say to disassemble the light part to remove the blue protective layer from it. If you don't, removing the blue layer becomes a nightmare and makes the device look cheap with small fragments everywhere.
