Review on Cosmo UMC30 Stainless Steel Range Hood - Under Cabinet with 380 CFM, Permanent Filters & LED Lights, 30 inch by Steven Harper

Super fast delivery Amazon one and a half days. If you're good with tools, this is a pretty easy setup. (I had to do a lot before installing modifications to my cabinets since we got rid of the top microwave and installed this hood. We don't have an outside duct and we cook with a lot of curry. If you choose 'no duct' you have to do something to do with the exhaust, so I made a 4" x 30" x 12" vent box that sits between the cabinet and the new hood. I screwed the top of the hood to the bottom of the box and cut a 6 "Hole for the exhaust to go into the breather box. I made a grille out of decorative sheet metal and placed it across the front of the box. Coming out of this top box is a cleaned exhaust. Seems to be working pretty well so far, will I'll update in a few weeks The stainless steel filters that sit over the burners are 'new design' so we'll see how well they work So far everything else is good The 3 speed fan is incredibly powerful at "in high" " . The controls have worked flawlessly so far. There is only one remark. The geometry of the block is a bit odd - the mounting surface isn't parallel to the bottom edges. H So the bottom edges (sides) appear to be raised about 2.5 cm towards the front of the device. I double checked my mount and indeed the design is a bit strange. I'm over it now. I will update in a few weeks. UPDATE: Still 5 stars after a few weeks. The little work I did for the exhaust was worth it. I installed a carbon filter in this box to filter the air even better. The hood does what it's supposed to.
