Review on Cosmo UMC30 Stainless Steel Range Hood - Under Cabinet with 380 CFM, Permanent Filters & LED Lights, 30 inch by Chris Ledet

I replaced a cheap 150 CFM fan with this one. First, this vent had the best packaging I've seen in years. Kudos to the guy who designed the packaging. Pros - very quiet, powerful, good looking - I totally recommend this product. Cons - the clock runs 24 hours and (according to the instructions) cannot be changed if you replace the rear hood vent, which is ready for a lot of DIY work. The air outlet can only be connected to a socket, not hard wiring. hose for installation. It looks like it might collapse and that will slow down the airflow. I recommend replacing it with a metal channel. The vent is great! The closet had to be rebuilt for this. More DIY (not the fault of the hood vent, of course). The vent is designed to be angled up rather than level. So if you want it to be level you need to run a stringer along the front (again I'm pretty sure it was designed that way but some people get annoyed with things not being level).
