Little/no courage! on Coffee Maker Accessory

I was really surprised how well this filter works with my Aeropress. After getting to the end of my stack of paper filters that came with my AeroPress, I wanted to find something that created less waste and I found this. I prefer the brewing method, which involves inserting the plunger into the top of the brewing chamber and flipping it upside down, using part of the plunger as a stand. Then I add my coffee (usually a maximum of 2 heaping scoops of Aeropress which I use to lighten the dip), fill the chamber with 175F water, stir and let steep for about 30 seconds, then place this reusable filter on top of the chamber . hole (sits all the way up without falling off) and screw on the plastic part of the filter. After that, I turn everything right side up and set it on a shaker or bottle, then dip it (put my hands on each side of the plunger, hook my fingers on top, and rest my chin on the plunger). works best for me). When I first used it I was shocked that there was no coffee dust on the bottom of my cup at all. Paper filters always left some sand behind. Here are some additional pros and cons: Pros: - Reusable - Easy to clean (tap the filter to remove excess coffee grounds, then rinse) - Little or no coffee grounds (much fewer than paper filters) Cons: - Inner rim edge is not flush with the power supply, so ground coffee can leave marks in the nails. Even less cream than paper filters. You have to be careful when throwing the coffee grounds in the bin lest you lose the filter (more of an Aeropress design issue than a filter issue IMO)
