Review on 🚴 Selle ITALIA Eyelink Mirror: Enhance Your Cycling Safety with this Revolutionary Accessory by Scott Reid

Clever but quick installation, it would be a better guide (it's not obvious)

I'm writing to clear up some misunderstandings about this mirror. I read several reviews mentioning these two issues and was apprehensive about the purchase but I didn't find a better solution so I bought it anyway. 1) The mirror is fogged up, actually it's because of the plastic film. it's not that obvious, definitely a design flaw of the sticker, but the glass is actually nice and clear (wide viewing angle) 2) weak mounting tape, probably due to the way the tape was attached. You must remove the tape before installation, otherwise you will end up with a very small contact area, see installation photo (bottom of package). With a good setup, that wasn't a problem for me. UPDATE: After a week of using the mirror, I have to report that the mirror is very loose even after tightening the bottom lens mount with an allen wrench. There is a solution for this: you can buy a small rubber washer and put it between the bracket (first remove the fixing screw and the bottom cover). There is already a rubber washer, but it's not rigid enough. Putting an extra washer will help hold it in place better. I took off 1 star because at this price I don't think the instructions were well thought out and that a trip to Home Depot for an additional washing machine should be necessary. Other than that, it's the best mirror you can find on the market right now. Update: I removed another star because less than a year later the screw holding the mirror fell apart along with the case. In order to be usable I had to drill a hole and use zip ties to hold the pieces together. I would like to remind you that I already had washers inside that prevent this mirror from folding in due to wind resistance while driving.

Cons
  • There are nuances
