I ride an e-bike and the roads are really bad where I like it so I was very concerned about how well this mount would work. Needless to say, he wouldn't even have let me down! As soon as I opened the packaging, I knew right away that this was a quality product. I particularly like the area where this particular mount (the star nut in the fork tube) attaches to my bike. I have an adjustable stem mount to elevate my MTB straight bars a bit so I don't lean on my weight as much. my hands and this mount sits very tight on the star nut because i have an adjustable mount on the stem that holds the stem at an almost 90 degree angle right off the stem but surprisingly with my phone mounted it has enough room to fit it unscrew and assemble neatly. It looks really good with my phone mounted because everything is so tight it looks like it was made for this type of setup. I already use an extended bar-mounted handlebar to mount additional items because the slightly cambered lift-style bar leaves less room for mounting options on the bar itself than a straight bar with no camber. That curve from the riser to the grip also helps with the weight bearing issue, but the lesser space on the stem to mount things sucks (you can't mount things on the corner section because they face backwards, so neither the headlight nor the display installs can be). mounted in the center of the stem, and good luck finding a headlight that attaches to the stems but points straight ahead as the corner is the only place you can mount the headlight, this can be tricky). I am giving all this irrelevant information to show why I need this phone mount option and why it is so perfect for my case as this could very well be a similar situation for many people as this handlebar style is popular.
