wow i liked it. It's almost 1 inch shorter but works. I replaced my factory shifter because the factory shifter is too close to my Atlas shifter in 1st gear. But I had to heat it up and I bent it all the way straight so my arm is an Atlas shifter. So I would suggest removing the stem completely from the base as there are 4 rubber o-rings in there that will melt, when you put them on I also like the pen it came with. than a factory! I have a 1.75" body lift so you can find an adapter to adjust how close the new shifter is to the console in 2nd and 4th gear. But it looks GREAT and way cheaper than B&M. For some reason it seems to shift better. It may be that the rubber bushing in the original is really worn out. I have over 250,000 miles on my 2007 2 door JK. I love the look! Would recommend if your Jeep doesn't look better than mine! lol! The first two pictures are the factory switch and you can see the factory bend. On the new one I bent it all the way straight but left the curve up. The photos below show the new derailleur after it has been bent so the shaft is straight from the gear bracket but is bent up slightly.
