This wrench is exactly what I needed and looks exactly like the picture. I have an old lathe where this tool was recommended for removing the adjustment mechanism. They used this tool on a lot of equipment back then, but not on my lathe. However, I have tried two different types of strap wrenches without success. When this tool arrived I drilled a shallow hole in the mechanism to insert a pin into the tool. With very little effort, this tool removed the gear perfectly. See the photos I posted. The needle seems very strong. The pin is 1/8" in diameter and 1/8" in height. It is coated with an anti-corrosion agent the consistency of a light oil. The purchase was worth it. Now I can get back to repairing my 1937 lathe.
