I need a stable speed with large volumes of recording. I often make various backups from a working server, so even with high-speed Internet, downloading data rested on the disk. On the HDD, it does not suit you to download, tk. there are archives of 200-300 GB, which then need to be unzipped and worked with. Ordinary bufferless budget SSDs, even when empty, after writing a few tens of GB, the speed drops even lower than that of an HDD. Good M.2 SSDs solve the problem, but they heat up and are expensive to waste their resource for such simple tasks. MX500 solves my problem well, for adequate money. In fairness, I note that for typical home use, these advantages of the disk are often not needed.
