Since 2022, the system has been on exactly the same crashal, only 250 gigs (ct250bx100ssd1). Around September-October 2022, I decided to upgrade to 500 gigs, took the same model, but 500 gigs (ct500mx500ssd1, they look absolutely identical, only the 500 gig has a blue color on the sticker of a dark shade, not blue). All the time worked without problems and only pleased. However, at the beginning of February 2022, I calmly turned off the computer with the installation of windows ates (I don’t…

Pros
  • Price, perhaps? Nimble . Was.
Cons
  • Died less than 6 months later.

I chose this ssd based on 3dnews tests from 2022. There, the same drive, though for 1TB, showed itself very well. What can I say, this one is also good, but the memory is slightly different, and the controller too. Perhaps that is why the picture with a linear record is like this. Maybe just not a very good memory. "Settlement" will appear. Who knows, maybe the controller conducts all write operations through the cache, or maybe it should be so. But in general, this instance is definitely…

Pros
  • Price. 3600 as of 01202223. have a dram buffer famous brand.
Cons
  • expected it to be better. But these are just high expectations based on old tests.

I like everything, the price and quality are acceptable.

If it were not for the formal thermal pads, then the MX500 would recommend for everyone to install an SSD in a system with SATA 3, and not just for those who are not afraid to open the case to fix the manufacturer's mistake that saved $0.5. For systems with SATA 2, I recommend not to overpay and ask the price of the BX500, laptop owners can immediately send its plastic case to the trash and thereby gain in cooling and weight.

Pros
  • Having tried, it was possible to find on sale at one of the most attractive prices. Own production (daughter), fame and balanced price / performance indicators in the SATA SSD segment. Aluminium case.
Cons
  • Poor cooling system consisting of 2 thermal pads (approximately 1 cm square) with the aim of "so as not to rumble". I had to correct the selection of copper gaskets.

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

The drive is like a drive, it works. Much faster than its predecessor, the WD Blue 2500AAKX hard drive. The free space indicator has never "blushed" yet, the volume meets the needs of the average PC user and game lover. It is difficult to rate a drive on a 5-digit scale: it either works, or it doesn't, or it works with problems. In my case - the first.

Perfect product for any user!

Excellent product. Installed in a PC case with no problems. Connected, transferred data and OS and that's it. Computer came to life

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

I bought it instead of an eight-year-old 256gb ssd from the same manufacturer due to lack of space (the old one did not break, but migrated to a working PC instead of hdd). At 500gb, it seems to be even faster, but at such speeds you can’t really distinguish

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

The order came quickly. The package is not opened, everything is whole. The SSD disk was immediately identified after initialization by means of Windows. With Crucial Storage Executive and VPN turned on, the drive's firmware has been ated. The drive itself is fast, as stated in its specifications. I recommend to buy!

Pros
  • Profitable price! Proven and reliable manufacturer of SSD drives.
Cons
  • Missing

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

It's still SATA. Do not forget and do not demand the impossible from him. After the turntables, who did not use, you will jump for joy. Resurrects old systems, and for new ones it is ideal for a second or third storage

Pros
  • New No crashes seen Quality build and packaging Decided quickly High speed recording
Cons
  • Cord sold separately

Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

With its pros: He worked for half a day, after that he fell off the system. After a reboot, it shows that it is 1gb, after initialization it also remains and does not go through formatting. Seller amazon. The sticker says 3 years warranty. Different cons: Disappointed, because I bought in the hope of quality, which is 30% more expensive than many analogues

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Fixed my lagodrome and pop-up textures before my eyes in the game Insurgency: Sandstorm. The actual disk space is 465GB. I've attached a comparison of my old SSD and this one in cdmark (My old SSD was 98% ankle-deep, maybe that worked for speed too).

Pros
  • Nimble. The software offers several interesting features, Momentum cache to speed up the disk due to free space, Reserve area to increase the service life by reducing the capacity.
Cons
  • Included is nothing but the disk itself, a 7mm to 9.5mm adapter frame and paperwork sent to the support site. No SATA cable or screws.

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

The choice was between Crucial MX500 and Samsung 860 EVO for 500 GB, because if you buy it right away, a high-quality SSD and at an adequate price. Initially, the choice fell on the Samsung 860 EVO, and I would take it if not one but, in my case, completely changed the choice. At that time, there was an 8350 on a 970 chipset, and the Samsung 860 EVO with a 970 chipset is practically not friendly, giving out a bunch of errors and a bunch of friezes in the system (there can be no question of any…

Pros
  • Worthy analog of Samsung 860 EVO with a difference only in the resource of use Support even for older platforms unlike Samsung 860 EVO
Cons
  • For many months of use, not even the slightest

The product is not good, I will not buy any more.

I bought three discs at once, one 512 and two 256 each, fell for the name, price and 3-year warranty. on all three, one picture a minute after the start of continuous recording, the speed drops in one step from 460 Mb \ s to 180-220 and then keeps at this value. if the process is suspended (pause) and continued after 20 seconds, then the speed is again more than 400 for several seconds, and then falls like an avalanche to 200 from this I concluded that the problem is overheating of the…

Pros
  • DO NOT TAKE! 5 years warranty. in the photos green chart reading speed brown graph write speed the photo shows the results of three different discs. tested on various devices. The discs were returned under warranty.
Cons
  • the continuous write speed drops to 200 megabytes per second. significant overheating of the controller (a point is felt through the case on the underside close to the connectors.) OVERHEATING THE CONTROLLER usually leads to sudden and irreversible death of the ssd

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

I bought it to replace the old HDD in the Asus N56VZ laptop. I stuck it in without problems, installed the HDD in place of the CD drive through a sled, cloned the system using AOMEI Partition, immediately through Sata without any adapters and dances. The computer, despite its age, came to life. The system boot speed is about 8-10 seconds, instant application launch and other goodies of SSD drives. The screenshot shows the indicators with Momentum Cache enabled. Without this feature, the…

Pros
  • Excellent speed, easy installation, case looks very reliable
Cons
  • Quite slow and clumsy Crucial Storage Executive software

For the home, the best mid-budget choice. A 500 GB model should go through 7-10 years of service. Remember that a reserve of 1/3 of the volume to keep free is still relevant. If possible, of course - therefore choose more capacious models. IMHO. The report is presented on the possession of such drives in the amount of 3 pieces (2 -500GB, 1 - terabyte) a little less than a year.

Pros
  • 1) Flash memory - Intel/Micron. 64 layers TLC. According to the ~ year of operation, it should withstand 1500 reprogramming cycles, which should give ~ 768TB of clean writing on a half-gig model (this is not an actual record - the actual one is considered corrected through WA -write amplification) 2) Using it as a system browser in Windows (Win7 64bit) with a non-pageable FF browser and few bookmarks in it + more or less normal work gives in my case WA ~ 2.4 and ~ 20-25GB / day. In total, the flash will withstand ~ 320TB of records in this mode. (number of reprogramming cycles*disk capacity)/WA. This is before abrasion 'to zero'. 3) The manufacturer's warranty (!) on disk recording volume gives ~1/2 from wear to zero. So in my (and most likely your case) it's ~17 years of work. That is, the flash is good. If your record volume is higher, consider it an approximation and it will be 95% correct. 60 GB of recording per day is a little more than 7 years (7 years 4 months). These figures are precisely the guaranteed recording volumes. This is 1 year of guaranteed data safety in the off state. To total abrasion if you figure it out - multiply by 2. But 'full abrasion of the flush' is only a few weeks of storage. Just a note. 4) There is protection against unexpected power off, which is VERY good. This is a capacitor bank that allows you to correctly reset the translator. Able to save the SSD from turning into a brick. And this occurs 5) SSD buffer that places the translator in the buffer and reduces WA. It also gives an increase in performance since it is not necessary to move parts of the translator from the flash to the RAM stub / back (as in Phison S11, for example - which has a 32 MB stub) 6) Crucial supports its creation with firmware ates 7) The drop in write speed BEHIND the SLC cache is very small. In fact, the drive is ALWAYS capable of receiving data at speeds higher than Raid-0 gives on two modern HDDs. Therefore, its performance for the home is ENOUGH (without any clarifications)! For demanding users
Cons
  • 1) Proc SMI2258 is heated. Reading moderately. On record, it's not critical. But noticeable! It's good that only a percent. 2) There was a glitch in old firmware with a noticeable lag after TRIM'ing a large amount of data, so you need to ate the firmware. Formally, this is a minus 3) In environments without TRIM - data clearing does not work. Controversial: 1) I have not yet seen the work of the wear leveling system. Despite the fact that one drive has reached wear of 7% (93% of life left). At the very beginning of operation, images of virtual machines were copied back and forth on this drive for almost a month. There, up to 60-70% of the volume of the drive in copying per day was selected. So he was notably overspent in the first month. Now it works as a system in 'sparing' mode.
