Garbage Pos. Don't waste your time!

This is bullshit! I wondered how they could do it so cheaply. Answer: They cannot. After reading the negative reviews, due to the price I decided to take a chance and give it a try. Other reviews mentioned leaky seals, poorly cut threads, etc. I removed the base and tried rethreading it. Due to the casting process, the cast is too porous and you can only cut the first few strands. Okay, I moved on to the gasket and replaced the Phillips head screws with hex head screws, which are easy to tighten after the switch is installed. I sealed the outer edge of the diaphragm seal with caulk. I used teflon tape and thread sealant on all the connections and reassembled the switch. I do a lot of plumbing so I can solder threads properly in my sleep. Compressor installed, connected, started and everything flowed everywhere. I removed the switch and replaced the gasket with the gasket from the old switch which was 2-3 times thicker. This worked to eliminate diaphragm leakage. There are still small leaks where the pugs are inserted into the extra ports. The compressor will fail in less than 24 hours. I no longer waste time at this POS. It goes in the trash and is replaced with a better valve.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • So-so
