Really very happy with it. I was a little nervous about buying a cheaper product made in China, but Chinese leather tools just keep getting better. I received them quickly and started using them immediately. Pros: Pretty spicy right out of the box; The black carbon steel looks great and I especially like the large round shank (unlike other flat rectangular shank punches). Cons: Slightly shorter than I wanted but I got used to it quickly and the shorter stem is probably better for accuracy. The hits are so sharp that you have to vary the pressure you hit between sets of tines as 4 goes deeper than 6 and 2 goes deeper than 4 simply because of the difference in resistance. Now that I think about it, it's not exactly a scam, but more of a good experience for a beginner leatherworking trade. Comes with a cloth pouch and a hard plastic storage box. If I could give them 4.5 stars I would. I only wish the shafts were about 1/2 inch longer. I will order from this company again. Oh, and they came with a pretty helpful guide, believe it or not. Written in Chinglish but easy to decipher and useful. Edit: Upvote my 5 star review. Now I've used irons on vegetable and chrome tanning of varying thicknesses. They hit well and the shaft length is actually just right. Round bar is good. I can't stand these irons.
