These work better than some other seam chisels on the market. Without wax 2 hits (rawhide hammer) with wax on chisel 1 hit (rawhide hammer). These strikes are very valuable, but know that with a little work they can and should be improved. Too bad the description says they are fully polished. You are not. The inner surfaces of the teeth are a problem. They are rough and grooved. They damage the skin and are difficult to pull out. You may not know about them until you experience a more pleasant hit - they will still do their job. Maybe the seller will agree to sell a completely smooth and polished set for $10-20 more?

Really very happy with it. I was a little nervous about buying a cheaper product made in China, but Chinese leather tools just keep getting better. I received them quickly and started using them immediately. Pros: Pretty spicy right out of the box; The black carbon steel looks great and I especially like the large round shank (unlike other flat rectangular shank punches).
