I bought this to photograph clear gems for the record. This little oscilloscope does what I need and once I figured out how to sync it to my computer it was easy to work with. The stand is really good, the zoom works smoothly. For the money I wasn't expecting much but this little scope does a great job for my needs. Update: I run this microscope on iMac and iPhone and get great images. All of a sudden I just got a blue screen. When I checked the settings, the correct setting for my app was missing, and even after reinstalling the app and software, I couldn't get that setting back. I contacted the Caindea seller via email. They responded quickly and after several emails back and forth along with screenshots of the problem they couldn't recommend a solution so they sent me a replacement at no extra charge. The replacement had the same problem during installation, so I figured a newer one might not have the same problem. The installation guide provides 2 links (your choice) to download the application. At first I used the first option, but this time I chose the second. Voila! Problem solved. I contacted the seller to say both microscopes are working now because it was a problem with the app and offered to send it back. The seller kindly told me to keep both in case there were any problems.
