I had a cabinet project where I wanted to be able to add and remove a front panel without damaging it. I was thinking about how to do this, when I stumbled across them I ordered them. Here's what I found: 1. I didn't have 25/64 bits so I had to go and buy one. I could probably use another one but I wanted these to fit and work all the time so I invested in bit.2. I used my drill press to make the perfect hole and then added a threaded element to each hole. I used a cabinet screwdriver and they went in with no problem. I used a drill stop so the depth of the hole was slightly greater than the length of the insert. I tightened them flush and then tried. They worked great! 3. Then I cut the screws to length and assemble the cabinet. Everything worked great and now I can easily add or remove front panels.4. No, loosening the screws will NOT push the insert out! It stays secure and in place. I am very happy with these and have ordered more just to have them in my parts bin for the next project to come! I definitely recommend them.
