Buttons are a little confusing but great device

Interface isn't easy to use but I had an 820 touchscreen and returned it as the screen is hard to touch while driving. more or less facing the sky. Don't tilt it up, it blurs the display. When the screen is almost parallel to the ground, it is very easy to read. For a long time I didn't know what the play button is, it's located on the bottom right of the device. The bottom button on the left is the button to return to the previous screen. This bottom left button also works as a lap recorder while driving. There are three buttons on the left, the top one for turning the device on (and adjusting the brightness), the up and down buttons for scrolling through the lists. While driving, you can use the up and down buttons to switch from driving information to a map and driving directions. You can use the Garmin Connect app to customize what appears on the trip information screen. You can also do this on the device, but it's easier in the app. There is a select button in the top right and I can't remember what the bottom right button is. Only 7 buttons, a bit confusing, not intuitive at all. I took it for 1 hour and 20 miles and it used about 5% of the battery so I expect it to last a few centuries before needing to be recharged. Yes, and it connects to your Strava account, all you have to do is set it up once in the Garmin app. And Strava interacts with an app called Relive, which is really cool. I strongly recommend that you also install Relive.
