and it seemed to work very well. But it was so difficult for me.

Let me start by saying that this isn't necessarily a reflection of the Garmin product itself, but rather a reflection of this particular package. When I received my kit, I immediately noticed that the Garmin box (no shipping) was a bit worn (i.e. the corners were crumpled and frayed). Of course, I didn't really think about it at first, thinking that maybe it's normal to sit on the seller's shelf for a long time. Just a guess. After setting up the sensors, I found that the cadence and heart rate

review. I'm a frequent casual racer in Massachusetts who rides many twisty, twisting tracks that would be almost impossible to navigate without some sort of GPS assistance. Overall, the Edge 520 lived up to expectations. The screen size is just right: big enough to quickly see what I want to see, but small enough not to dominate the steering wheel. Battery life is enough to support an 8-hour ride on one charge, provided you don't set the backlight to "always on". The readings appear to beโ€ฆ

Improvement over 500

Ordered 13th August. Just received today. Starting with the 500, the new 520 has many features that I love. One thing about the 500 switching between bike profiles, I had to go into menus, bike settings, etc. to select road or mountain. Then click Return to Screen. 520 allows you to customize each profile from the start with its own display, warnings and automatic settings. Then when you're ready to ride, just select your bike and you're done. Like this feature. Another feature I like is theโ€ฆ

Buttons are a little confusing but great device

Interface isn't easy to use but I had an 820 touchscreen and returned it as the screen is hard to touch while driving. more or less facing the sky. Don't tilt it up, it blurs the display. When the screen is almost parallel to the ground, it is very easy to read. For a long time I didn't know what the play button is, it's located on the bottom right of the device. The bottom button on the left is the button to return to the previous screen. This bottom left button also works as a lap recorderโ€ฆ
