I have connected my LaView 8MP cameras to a LaView NVR using one camera per ethernet cable. But I have a place that requires full 360 degree coverage but there is only one cable. So I set up 4 cameras with unique IP addresses and connected them to a 4-in-1 POE Ethernet extender. I then connected an ethernet cable by plugging the other end from the dedicated ethernet port on my DVR to my Netgear smart switch, which offers multiple 30W POE ports (my DVR also connects to the same Netgear switch for Internet access). After spending hours fiddling with the LaView NVR to manually find the cameras on my network, all four 4K cameras work great without external power in this little box. This is a miracle product, I never thought it would actually work, but it does!
