Great pedals with great grip on flat pedals. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned rider, nothing beats a good set of pedals. At this price there is little that compares. Just watch the video to ensure you install and remove the pedals correctly and you're done. It would be nice if they included a small packet of lube so they don't get stuck after dirt and water get into the threads. I just used a multipurpose lube I bought at a local big box store for $4 to coat the threads and now I have enough lube left, I could probably grease every bike on my local track and even more! Today, during her first trip, I nailed some stumps. Being new to racing and unfamiliar with trails, they held up better than my stock pedals. No creases, creases or tears! Due to the limited surface area, dirt does not accumulate either. I assume they will outlast the life of my bike as I only ride about 5 hours on weekends, mostly on moderate trails. The large platform area covers most of the sole of your shoe, making you feel really planted and stable. . I ride in a pair of US Men 10.5 Vans and the cleats stick to my soles with no problems. I would like to see another cleat in the toe box for even more grip but they work fantastic. The kit includes 3 spare bolts in case they wear out. That way you can replace some new spikes and get back on the trail. I would buy again without hesitation!
