Review on Dogtra 200C Remote Training Collar by Jennifer Corbett

Revainrating 2 out of 5

THAT DOES NOT WORK? NOT CORRECT? WATCH THE VIDEO AND READ THIS FIRST

So I saw other reviews talking about the inconsistency and I had the same problem. I tried the device on my wrist as recommended by Dogtra with conflicting results. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. I called Dogtra and the rep I spoke to said to check it out. To test it, attach a tester to 2 metal contact points (the tester is the small transparent plastic piece that comes with the device). When I plugged in the tester, I saw that I was getting inconsistent signals even though I pressed the button. . The tester should turn orange when the collar is receiving a signal. You can clearly see in the video that despite the fact that you see me push the button, you hear a click and see a green light coming out of the transmitter. (the device you are holding) There was no orange light in the tester and no signal. However, when I pressed much harder and pushed the button all the way, it worked and the tester turned orange every time. You can see the same problem with nicknames and constant functions. The pager function (vibration) seemed to work well every time. I hope this helps and helps other people from trying to turn on the watch face on themselves or their dog to see if it works. The rep I spoke to said the device was NOT supposed to work like this and recommended I return the product. Will update when I get a new one.
