Lots of bugs in clock radio

This review is for a yellow that does not look like maple as shown in the pictures. It looks more like orange and clearly imitates bamboo. It looks pretty fake, but other than that, I just don't associate bamboo with retro. Although it doesn't show up in the photos (not even mine), the LED display is blue and white, which also goes against the retro theme. It should be a warm white LED or some other color - even true blue is better than modern cool white. for a product sold in the United States. You cannot turn off the time until you turn off the device completely. There is also an ugly LOBKIN logo on the front panel. Behind the fabric is also a fairly prominent rectangle that houses the LED display. It would have been a much better product without the watch. I also show the back using the micro USB port for charging. In fact, it should stand on a table, bedside table or table and be connected to the mains most of the time. The battery only lasts a few hours depending on usage. The included USB cable is only about 30cm long, so you will need a longer USB cable AND your own USB outlet for power. Luckily, I have spare micro USB cables, but they're obsolete, so this is another bad choice. On the plus side, the sound quality is pretty decent for the size. It connects to our Bluetooth devices very easily after pressing the "M" key (another weird choice). The manual says that the iPhone sets the clock when connected to an iPhone via Bluetooth. It's not like this. You have to install it manually. The volume buttons on the speaker don't change the phone/PC volume like some other Bluetooth speakers (which is fine with me). Also, title buttons were pressed or skipped. The manual is terrible in Chinese and barely understandable. I haven't tried the alarm features as I don't understand why you would frustrate yourself trying to figure out how to set two alarms when this is probably used 100% of the time to pair with a smartphone , which has far better alarm capabilities. It also has an outdated FM tuner that I will never use. It says that the charging cable is used as an antenna. So if you use a longer cable, it can interrupt FM reception. The manual (and website) says "24 hour time, clock and alarm will be reset to factory settings" while turning off the speaker after 36 hours." I didn't think that was true. I can't find out what that means, but at least the time doesn't reset after 36 hours and after turning off and/or unplugging Overall it's just a very "beta" product with a lot of bad design choices, including unnecessary features, but good ones Sound earns it two stars in the end.

Pros
  • HiFi sound
Cons
  • Expensive
