Review on πŸŽ’ CLC 1132 75-Pocket Tool Backpack - Custom LeatherCraft by Devin Jirsa

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Too many impractical pockets

I've been looking for a while for various tool packs to upgrade with the modern CLC 44 pocket bag. For the 44 pocket I had to make my own wrench case with padding, which worked well , but overall the backpack was too small for the tools I needed to take with me. was a selling point for me. When I received this backpack I was impressed with the construction and all the options it offered, but soon became frustrated loading my tools. There were enough turnkey slots for my 3/4 to 5/16 set and enough slots for my screwdrivers. Too many flap pockets and not enough slots for blades or rubber bands that are too high for the handles to stay in the pocket. To overcome this, I stuffed the valves in my pockets and stuffed my wrenches, hexes, adjustable wrenches, and wedge pliers inside. Regular pliers, wire cutters, and wire strippers fit into pockets without a flap. Then I found that I used all the big bags by putting full rolls of tape and thread sealant in each bag. The included plastic box with compartment is very handy and has replaced a couple of previous candy tins I used for wire nuts and ferrules. However, the big disappointment is that the bag has no legs or protection on the bottom. The old .44 bag had a pair of legs in each corner to protect the bottom of the bag. I think this is a major oversight on the part of the manufacturer. Obviously they try to keep the price of the backpack at a reasonable level to stay competitive. I've looked around and can add them myself as I have in the past. There's no doubt that this bag isn't as tight as the old one, and I managed to load it up enough to work for me. There are lots of little unused pockets as well as elasticated slits and the small 1 inch deep slits are totally impractical for me.
