Our Red-bellied Parrots were rescued from a neglected environment where they were kept for 9 years. Many foraging systems have failed because they don't know what to do with toys and therefore need a quick positive response to their first attempts. This strict ball is perfect for her. It intrigued them enough to entice them to try it (after many days of study), and it was easy enough that they were successful almost immediately. The product turned out to be strong enough to withstand the onslaught of two adoring fans. Now that they like it, we can move it from an easy approach to a more difficult one, and they're forced to exercise those underused muscles. I'll buy another one to have on hand when this one really wears out. They love it so much that I don't want to risk losing them.
