There is a test switch on the back of these devices. When the device I received was connected to the cradle that came with it, the test button is pressed and the device stays in test mode the whole time, which means the alarm goes off all the time. I assume they sent the wrong mount for the device? As this is a life saving device this error makes me suspicious of the manufacturer or supplier so I am hoping not to get a full refund and that you will check the fit and function of your alarm on the mount before climbing on it. ladder and replace it with the old one.
