Review on DB Electrical AHI0115 Alternator - Compatible/Replacement for Frontier, Pathfinder, Xterra 4.0L 05-07 LR1110-725 & more by Jesus Cordova

Installed on my Nissan Frontier SE V6 2007. I didn't save any money, I lost it. Lost time. I canceled my important plans. [Good] 1) Like the other reviewers, it fits. (simple part of production)[Poor]1) Poor performance and always under-execution. From 14V to 12V both at idle and on the highway. My mechanic installed a Hitachi model and it stayed between 14.5 and 14.0 volts. What a difference. 2) Served 1 year and 2 months. Started to whine. I don't think the noise is coming from the DB generator. * Work idle. Like the howling sound of a wolf/dog. * A little over 1000 rpm. Like an emergency vehicle siren. The noise was awful and I couldn't drive, so I took my Frontier to a local mechanic. They found the bad DB alternator and replaced it with a Hitachi (OEM Nissan) alternator. That's my fault too, because I didn't go to Hitachi in the first place. One last note, the sound of the siren was awful and it will drive you crazy.
