I recently bought this carrier system for my second car to reduce the time I have to spend carrying kayaks. My main frames are Yakima JayLows but they were too expensive to buy another set. I have used these IKURAM racks several times to transport two 14ft (22in wide) kayaks and both fit perfectly on the racks. The trunk is secure with boats loaded and I haven't had any trouble with anything. drive off, drive on the highway and rough country roads. So far my impression is that it was a good buy as they fit my needs. I love that it's a single trunk system that can hold two boats and that I don't have to buy 2 sets of J-hooks. For the price this is a good deal especially as they offer the ability to transport 2 boats. If I had to improve them, I would replace the auto crossbar attachment mechanism with a Yakima Jaylows-like clamp system, but that would probably increase the price.
