The instructions are poor, but possible.

Poor Instructions. There are several parts without instructions. After inserting the cut side, place the black plates on the back of the main stand. Place rubber washers in front of the screw caps.

The instructions are terrible, but it's actually quite easy! Check out the video I posted!

As everyone has written in other reviews, the instructions are terrible. After carefully reading all the reviews here, this is actually a very simple setup. I hope my photos and videos help everyone as it is very easy when all is said and done. Seems to be a pretty good system and rack so far. I will update the information as soon as I get a chance to install it on the roof and store my kayaks there. I have two 12 foot Old Towne Dirigo 120's. Will post more by the end of the week. Update: Vivian fixed my problem!

****Update: Vivian from the company emailed me 2 days after receiving the kayak holder. She sent me an updated version of the instructions with pictures clearly labeled. Turns out I didn't miss a single detail and some of them were in the wrong place. I would like instructions to come on this but Vivian said they are working on updating this. Copy of installation instructions received from IKURAM

The stand is well made but the installation instructions are terrible! I emailed the company for instructions as others had suggested and received a response within hours. Once installed (and watching an online video of attaching the kayaks to the vehicle) the racks worked great and held both kayaks securely. Here is the photo email I received from IKURAM. . . No instructions, no customer service, holes in the clamping plate too small.

The instructions for this product are really lacking, especially how to assemble the pressure plate. I didn't find any useful videos on YouTube either. I've attached images of what I found from doing some research online and looking at other comments. You should be aware before purchasing that the support team does not respond to contact requests. Great idea, but usability is a secondary use case at best.

This thing is really well designed and well built. The problem with this is that its usefulness is very limited to cases where: 1. The user has a vehicle short enough for one person to lift the kayak halfway up the roof, or 2. There are always two 6'5" people to load the kayaks. The idea of an accessible rack for two kayaks is great, but if you're using any off-road vehicle (I have a 2018 Chevy Traverse), the secure position of the rack makes it impossible to use the Load boats without climbing

Works well - Accessory

I recently bought this carrier system for my second car to reduce the time I have to spend carrying kayaks. My main frames are Yakima JayLows but they were too expensive to buy another set. I have used these IKURAM racks several times to transport two 14ft (22in wide) kayaks and both fit perfectly on the racks. The trunk is secure with boats loaded and I haven't had any trouble with anything. drive off, drive on the highway and rough country roads. So far my impression is that it was a good buy

After reading many reviews I decided on this kayak holder. Judging by the reviews, I was ready for a decent rack with poor assembly instructions. I was half right! The assembly instructions are not only poorly written, they are almost non-existent. It's a page with tiny pictures and vague sentences. I am updating this review to reflect some of the significant improvements resulting from multiple contacts with Ikuram. This kayak mount received some good reviews and was listed as a versatile mount design. There was also some negative feedback from buyers who did not find the trunk suitable for their cars.
