Review on 🧡 Fiskars Clothing Making Starter Kit (3-Piece), Turquoise Set of 3 by Heather Shaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent rotary torch set

I will divide this review into three parts: the first for each item in this set. Knife: I haven't really spent much time with this, but it's pretty much the same as other precision knives I've used. The blade is sharp so you get the right part and the handle is standard. I prefer the ones that have a more comfortable grip, but they're still good and seem to be durable. Scissors: I probably have at least five Fiskar scissors at home. They make good scissors and these are no exception. These are just your basic scissors so not as strong as their titanium scissors but good enough for basic crafting and sewing. Rotary cutter: This set is definitely worth it here. A good disc cutter alone will usually cost the same as this kit (currently $20). There are basically two types of cutters: straight (the one included in the kit) and curved. I've always used curved ones, but one from this set has quickly become my favorite cutter as it offers better control and pressure. It easily cuts through layers of fabric for quilting or tailoring. I was impressed with how easily it cut through jersey, which I often struggled with with my other knife. I was able to easily cut my pattern and sew my project. If you are just starting out in sewing or crafting and are looking for a sewing kit, this is a great kit, even for the experienced crafter/seamstress. It gives you everything you need to strip down your project and get to work.
