These regulators work the same as the factory regulators. If your e39's rear window doesn't rise and fall but you can still hear the engines running, this is your best bet! I was able to put the factory engines on the new tracks without any problems. However, I had to run to the hardware store to get 4 M6x1.0 screws to attach the bottom of the controller to the door as the factory didn't use mounting screws like these, no big deal. A few bucks later and my windows were working great again!
